A Cappella
Birmingham is a Chamber Choir
dedicated to performing fine music in fine
places.
Our
repertoire includes music from William Byrd, Thomas Tallis, John
Dunstable, Mozart, Purcell and Monteverdi.
We’re thrilled to announce that we
will be appearing as part of the Birmingham Pride Celebration
Concert, which takes place
on Friday
5th June at the CBSO Centre.

Join Us
We’re currently
recruiting, and have vacancies for
Soprano and Alto voices. We don’t hold formal auditions - rather,
we prefer you to join us for a rehearsal to see (and hear!) how
well suited we are.
Offered: Choral Stipends
We also have one remaining Choral Stipend available for
a
talented soprano. Each stipend will be
£150 per
term and initially awarded for the Summer Term 2009. Each
term, you will be expected to attend around ten weekly Wednesday
evening rehearsals at our studio in The Custard Factory in Digbeth,
and to perform in our exciting programme of concerts and events
such as Birmingham Pride 2009. You should be an able musician and a
student, unemployed or disabled (and in receipt of Benefits), and
either be LGBT or friendly/supportive of the LGBT community.
